this game has a super frenetic pace. I dont want to ipod-bowl 10 games in 2 minutes. anyway i know ill never play it again so i deleted it but they got a buck we can part friends good luck and happy fauxbowlinglanes!
Developers behind this game need to look at other bowling games, because ball physics in this game are wacked out. Aim down the middle and a little to the right or left of the middle pin and its an easy strike. But if you leave a few pins standing in either corner, good luck trying to hit them. Aim left, ball will mysteriously go right. Aim a little more left, ball goes into left gutter. Hitting 1 pin spares should be easier than making strikes. In this game, you can bowl down the middle, and slightly off to left or right of center. But if you need to pickup a spare pin standing in left or right corners, it seems impossible to aim in that direction. And the ball pretty much goes the SAME SPEED no matter how fast you swipe. Theres no speed control in this game at all. Recommendation: Action Bowling (keeps average and a few other stats): the physics in that game arent the most realistic, but UNLIKE this game, youll be able to figure out how to adjust and control where the ball goes. iBowl is also better than this game. Galactic Bowling is better than this game. The best in terms of physics is Brunswick Bowling but sadly, that game doesnt track your average. I havent tried any others but I hope this helps. I think EVERY bowling game should AT LEAST track highscore and your average. Does ANY iPhone bowling game (besides Action Bowling) track your average? Happy hunting for a good bowling game. Go Action or Brunswick, NOT this. 2 Stars (since it has SOME stats and trophies, but still no average).
Every time I hit it down the middle with full speed pins dont fall down!! Do not buy
Yea
I tried a few different bowling apps ,started with the lite version of this game and was sold . Purchased this version and cant say enough about it . Even my 75 year old Father spent the .99 cents to get this game on his iPod Touch and loves it . This will appeal to everyone from little kids to older folks like my Dad . Dont wast your time with other crap , get the lite version first and I bet in no time you will get the full version . I almost forgot In the lite version you only get the strikes in a row part , but you will get the idea .
Im not sure why this game is rated so poorly, its an excellent game typical of skyworks quality. It is a little fast-paced but I think that is a good quality and really so is every other skyworks game. The ball does tend to veer sideways somewhat but if you take your time aiming it isnt difficult to throw a strike. Graphics are great and I love the retro lane choice. =) overall really fun.
The game freezes all the time you need to make an update fast!!!!!
The graphics and sounds are fantastic but the actual bowling is erratic as you can never predict where the ball is going to go. Lots of gutter balls and no it is not me. lol
I am rating this game lower than the lite version because the pin action is actually better on the lite version. I have thrown 40 strikes in a row on the lite version but the pins dont fall the same way on the paid version. A 300 game is much harder on the paid version. Also, it looks like both games have the same issue of 50 strikes being the max before the strikes-in-a-row crashes. How hard can it be to fix this?
I must say that I really enjoy Skyworks games. I have almost all of Skyworks apps. This is one of the best bowling apps Ive tried because it is quite realistic. The alleys are really nice looking and efficient (the ball return actually works lol). There are decent selections of ball colors and sizes. I have only noticed a couple of quirks. You have the ability to affect the path of the bowling ball by tilting your iPhone/iPod, but be careful just how much you tilt it. The control is very sensitive. I played around with picking up spares for a few minutes before I realized that I just barely need to tilt my iPhone to get the ball to curve. Another oddity is that the app crashes whenever I change the color or weight of my ball. Im not sure why it happens, but I imagine Skyworks is fixing the problem and an update will be available soon. Overall this is a fun, entertaining, and realistic app that can keep you occupied when you are looking to relax and have fun. I would definitely recommend giving this, and all of Skyworks other apps, a try.
This app is "A MUST BUY!!" Its very exciting to play this app. Its even better when playing on the new iPod Touch 4th Gen. and the iPhone 4. There are some small bugs where it suddenly exits when playing a new round. Other than that, this game is worth buying. Ill give it a 5* rating once the bug is fixed.
Me and my friends play together and we are good at this game! Best dollar bowling game yet.
Does not run on IOS 4.2.1. Quits when I try to enter a player.
Crashes when I try to put in player name.
I was looking forward to this app but it didnt even let me enter my name, crashes. Hope for an update or Ill ask for a refund. :-(
This game looked good but it turned out to be the worst thing u bought in the app store. Stay away from this game it crashes and totally BLOWS!
I cant even enter a bowlers name, it fails and goes back to home screen. Waste of money. Dont purchase.
Okay, the update sorta fixed it.. I went in played a game, entered my name and submitted it. Worked great.. until.... I went to play again, and I changed lanes.. once I did that.. it crashed and dropped out of the app. So, as long as you dont change lanes, its okay. Ill rate 2 stars until this bug is fixed completely. Once fixed, itll go to 5.
I love this bowling app! Its much more realistic than some of the others. Even the background noises and overhead announcements reminds you of a real bowling alley. Great buy for the price!
